' A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM
i6 DEED FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO A PORTION OF
THE ABANDONED STREET IN LOT 7, BLOCK 19, WHEELOCKtS SECOND
ADDITIONS LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION,

WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that the following described portion,
{ of the abandoned street in Lot 7, Block 19, Wheelockts,.,Second Addition of Lubbock
heretofore closed and abandoned by Ordinance x+208 is no longer needed for
E public use as a public street; NOW THEREFORE:
�I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.-

SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
I and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
to MRS, IRA SIMMONS covering the following described property, to -wit;

l` A portion of East 22nd Street, being the North half of East 22nd
` Street, as shown on the Platting of Wheelockts Second Addition to
the City of Lubbock, Recorded in Vol. 26, Page 48, Deed Records,
Lubbock County, Texas
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 19, Wheelockts
Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East along the South line of said Lot 7, Block 19, a
distance of 140 feet;
THENCE South a distance of 25jeet;
THENCE West on a line parallel to the said South line of Lot 7,
Block 19, Wheelockts Second Addition to the City of Lubbock,
a distance of 140 feet;
THENCE North a distance of 25 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary shall attest the signature of the
Mayor to said deeds and shall affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
Passed by the City Commission this 24th day of October , 1963.

BARGAIN,0 SELL, RELEASE, AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said

46,Deed Records, Lubbock County, 'Texas
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 19,
Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas,
THENCE East along the South line of said Lot 7, 'Block. 19,
a distance of 140 feet,-
THENCE South a distance of 25 feet;
'WHENCE West on a line parallel to the said South Line of
Lot 7, Block 19, Wheelock's Second Addition to the City of
Lubbock, a distance of 140 feet;
THENCE North a distance of 25 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING*
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the
said Mrs. Ira SimmongL her heirs and assigns, forever, so that neither it the said
City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns,, nor any person or persons claiming
under it shall, at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right or title
to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or ,any part thereof.
