IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed
> execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a warranty deed to J. W. Wright
:)nveying the land described in the attached conveyance which shall be spread upon
ie minutes of the Commission and as spread upon the minutes of this Commission
hall constitute and be a part of this resolution as if fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Commission this 27thday of June 1963.

COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation, of .the
County of Lubbock, !State ofTexas, acting by and through its Mayor,: heretofore
duly authorized for and inconsideration of the sum of TWO 'THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE AND 'NOI100 DOLLARS ($2, $53.00) cash Wit �4'hana
paid by J. W. Wright, of Lubbock County, Texas, the receipt of which is °n+ reby
acknowledged, and the further sum of SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FI TY -
NINE AND NOI100 DOLLARS ($7, 659.00) secured to be paid and evidenced by
grantee's promissory vendor's lien note, of even date herewith,which nate is
fiather described as follows:
An installment Vendor's Lien Note In.the amount of $7,,659. 00, dated
July, 1963, payable inthe City of Lubbock, Texas in three
(3) annual installments of $2, 553.00 each, together with interest -of
six (6) per cent per annum; with the first payment being due on July
1664, and an equal amount being parable on July,
of each year thereafter until the principal and interest Is paid in
full; said Vendor's Lien Note being further secured by a Deed of Trust,
given to Bill J. McGinnis, Trustee, for the benefit of the City of Lubbock.
Have granted. sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, sell and
convey unto the said grantee, J. W. Wright, of Lubbock County, 'Texas, all that
certain parcel of land
A tract of land out of Section 3, Block B. Lubbock. County, Texas,
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears South 3863.13 feet and East 3776.07
feet from the Northwest corner of Section 3, Block B, Lubbock County,
Texas, said point also being S 890 43' 39" E 20 feet, and N 00 16' 21"
E 153.0 feet from the Southeast corner of Lot 226, Manhattan Heights
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and In the East
line of alley;
THENCE N 00 16' 21" E 181.29 feet along the East line of alley to a point;
THENCE N 210 17' 38" W 275. CIO feet along the East line of alley to sa point;
THENCE N 550 300 39" W 617.00 feet along the Northeast line of alley to
sa point;
THENCE N 890 43' 38" W 1082.27 feet along the North line of alley to a
paint;

Southwest of the Southwest sanitary sewer line;

Southwest of the Southwest sanitary sewer line;

THENCE N 890 43# 39" W 258.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
Containing 1.3.822 acres.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLT) the above described property and premises, to-
gether with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging,
unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns forever; and I do hereby bind the City
of Lubbock sad its successors to warrant and forever defend all and singular said
premises unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns, against every person whom-
soever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
But it is expressly stipulated and agreed that a vendor's lien and the superior
title are retained against the above described property and premises until said note
is fully and finally paid according to its face and tenor, effect and reading, when
this deed shall become absolute.
