ii R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City.Commission of the City of Lubbock has heretofore
{i determined and now finds that due to increased vehicular traffic on
���,.• __East 50th Street in the City of Lubbock, it is necessary to open, extend,
straighten and widen said „fast 50th Street ; and,
WHEREAS, to accomplish this purpose, it is necessary to acquire for
j street right of way purposes the fee simple title of the land hereafter
described; and,
WHEREAS, -,Mrs. 011ie Townsend and Sam Strong
own said land, and the value and total damages to the owner for the fee simple
title to said land have been appraised in the amount of $_7767.00 and the
Commission finds said amount to be fair and equitable; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKt
THAT the fee simple title to the following described land situated
in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, be acquired by the City of
Lubbock for the purpose of opening, extending, straightening and widening
the public street known and designated as East 50th Street
which land is more particularly described as follows$` A parcel outIof'Section 4,
Block B, Lubbock County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as followst
BEGINNING at a point which bears Easterly 4150 feet more or less and North 40.71 feel
from the SW corner of Section 4, Block B, (said point of beginning can also be des-
cribed as being a point in the South line of Lot 23, Block 4, Clutter Addition to the
City of Lubbock which point bears Easterly a distance of 176.0 feet from the SW corner
of said Lot 23, Block 4, Clutter Addition); THENCE North 25.44 feet to a point; THENC
;!Northeasterly a distance of 125.89 feet to a point which point is 70.71 feet North of
tho. South line of Section 4, Block B; THENCE continuing Northeasterly a distance of
,4.10 ft. to the point of beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE along said curve tc
!the left, having a radius of 35.0 ft. and a central angle of 1270 552 48", an arc die
tance of 78.12 feet to a point which point is in the West lire of a 20 foot R.O.W.

of Lot 2 THENCE Westerly a distance of 253.39 ft. -to the. point ,af ..beginning.
T A� the owner(s) of said land be offered, through the Right of Way Depart-
ment, the amount appraised as the value and total damages for the feesimple
title and acquisition of said land for the purposes herein stated, for the use
and benefit of the City of Lubbock, and unless accepted forthwith the City
Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to institute condemnation pro-
ceedings for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock to icquire the fee simple
title to said land as hereinabove described for street purposes.
