Hodges Contractors Inc - GWO 2775 - 04/25/1963RES014TION oR2%3F RESOLUTION AccEpTim naROVEMEETS ON PORTIONS OF ALIETS AS LISTED BELOW AM ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE..CF ASSESSMENTS IEVIF.D* W11ERE&S, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various alley improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Frank Be Hodges, contractors, Inc. (G.W.O. 2775) for the making and construcition"..of i11ey. improvements*on 'portions of numerous alleys in said city including among others the following: The Forth -South alley between Avenue R and Avenue Q from 17 feet south of the north property line of Main Street to the north line of Lot 4, Block 118, Overton Addition, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 19 -of Unit Number A-350* The North-South alley between Avenue 0. and,&venue R from 17 feet north of the south property line of Main Street to 22 feet south of the north property li* op y line of Broadway, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 20 of Unit Number A-350* The North-South alley between Texas Avenue and Avenue J from the north line of Lot 5, Block 2, Dupree Addition to the south line of Lot 14, Block 2, Dupree Addition, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 37 of Unit Number A-350. The East-West 411ei,between 21st Street and 22nd Street from 20 feet vest of the east property line of Avenue q to the east line of Lot 5, Block 8, McCrummens 2nd Addition, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 39 of Unit Number A-350. The East-West alley south of 34th Street from 17 feet cast of the vest property line of Avenue 0, to 2,5 feet east of the vest property line of the north -south alley vest of Avenue q, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 44 of Unit Number A-350. AM WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned'alleys have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract G.W.O. 2775. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the Improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys be and the same are hereby accepted, and the city Engineer be and he is herebyauthorized to direct payment of the cityI s portion of the cost. Ile That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon'the said portions'of the alleys listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. Hodges Contractors, 'Inco, paving contractor, under their 'contract; dated September 18, 1962, designated 'as'G*W.O 2775 and find the improvements I sub -Units 19, 20, 37, 39, and -44 'of ;nit A-350 as listed' -6n the "final estimate and assessment sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said alleys, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet 'as due them by the City of Lubbock ind­issue assignable certificates against property owners for the respective amounts shown on Ithe attached final assessment sheets as being due against them and their respective properties. ours very truly, j✓.
