WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock has heretofore
determined and now finds that due to increased vehicular traffic on
East gnth srrppr in the City of Lubbock, it is necessary to open, extend,

!j WHEREAS, to accomplish this purpose, it is necessary to acquire for
street right of way purposes the fee simple title of the land hereafter
described; and,
WHEREAS, Adolph Hanslik and wife Juanita Hans ik and Firrt
Natinnal Rank of Lubbock Texas and B. F. H. Storage, Tne__(Adnlpb

own said land, and the value and total damages to the owner for the fee simple
title to said land have been appraised in the amount of $ 2078.00 and the
Commission finds said amount to be fair and equitable; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the fee simple title to the following described land situated
in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, be acquired by the City of
Lubbock for the purpose of opening, extending, straightening and widening
the public street known and designated as Farr 50t -b ,crr,pt
which land is more particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land out of the SE 1/4 of Section 6i Block B, Lubbock County,
Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 1040.0 feet East and 45.0 feet North of the SW
corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 6, Block B; (said point of beginning
is 20.0 feet North and 50.0 feet East of the original SW corner of
Lot 21 Block 40, in the Nelson -Brown Addition to the City df Lubbock);
THENCE North a distance of 25.0 feet to a point;
THENCE East a distance of 257.0 feet to a point;
THENCE South a distance of.25.0 feet to a point;
THENCE West a distance of 257.0 feet to the point of beginning.
THAT the owner(s) of said land be offered, through the Right of Way Depart-
ment, the amount appraised as the value and total damages for the fee simple
title and acquisition of said land for the purposes herein stated, for the use
and benefit of the City of Lubbock, and unless accepted forthwith the City
Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to institute condemnation pro-
ceedings for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock to acquire the fee simple
title to said land as hereinabove described for street purposes.
