AND MORE PARTICULA j DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION. �'- WHEREAS, the City Commission has found that there is some doubt as to the ownership of such land herein described, in that there has been some claim that the - /-%-21and once constituted a alley, and WHEREAS, there exist no alley at the present nor has there been a use by the public for any such purpose for many years, and WHEREAS, a strip of land, identical in nature to this strip, only lying North lof this land was released to the abutting owner by the City Commission in 1937; sai release indicating even then that the strip of land was not intended as an alley, and ,that no dedication or ordinance can be found which indicates that an alley was in- jtended to be on such property; and WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it would be in the best interest and welfare of the City of Lubbock to execute such a Quit Claim Deed to Lubbock Gin Corporation, NOW THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized an, directed to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed t ,Lubbock Gin Corporation conveying the City of Lubbockzs interest in and to the folic ing described tract or parcel of land located in the City of Lubbock., Lubbock Count; Texas: BEGINNING at a point 82.5 feet East of the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 158, Original Town of Lubbock,,. as said Lot 1, is now situated; being subject to the Avenue A access road; THENCE South for a distance of 385 feet; THENCE East for a distance of 20. 17 feet; THENCE North for a distance of 391.43 feet; THENCE South 72019 44t 50" West for a distance of 21.68 feet to the place of BEGINNING. SECTION 2. The City Secretary shall attest such Quit Claim Deed, affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto. lith day of Aprils 1963, Passed by;the C tY Commission t .s K F. THE STATE OF TEXAS, xNow AL COUNTY OF LUBBOCK L MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That the CITY OF LUBBOCK. a Home Rule Municipal Corporation of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas , for and in consideration' of the sum of ONE AND NO/100 ($1. o0) DOLLARS, and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by LUBBOCK GIN COMPANY. a corporation, of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas , the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do, by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE, AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said LUBBOCK GIN CORPORATION, and its ili=id assigns, all its right title and interest in and to that certain tract or par- cel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: A Part of Section t, Block O, in Lubbock County; Texas, more particularily described as follows: BEGINMKG at a point which is 82.5 feet East of the Northwest Corner of Lot 1, Block 158, Original Town of Lubbock, Texas, as said Lot 1 now is situated; being subject to the Avenue A access Road; THENCE South for a distance of 295 feet; THENCE East fora distance of 20.91 feet; THENCE North -for a distance of 891.48 feet.- THENCE eet. THENCE South 92 0 44= 60" West for a Distance of 21.68 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
