HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 081364C - Pavement Improvements - Pioneer Pavers Inc - Southgate Addition - 08/13/1964RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Southgate Addition, Lots 240-256, made arrangements with Pioneer Pavers, Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Southgate Addition, Lots 240-256, including the following streets: East one-half of Memphis avenue (asphalt only) from its intersection with a line 16.0 feet North of the North Property Line of 58th Street to its intersection with a line 3.0 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 57th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1213, 57th Street from its intersection with a line 16.0 feet East of the East Property Line of Nashville Avenue to its intersection with a line 16.0 feet West of the West Property Line -of Memphis Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1392. West one-half of Memphis Avenue from its intersection with a line 16.0 feet North of the North Property Line of 58th Street to its intersection with a line 3.0 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 57th Street,"known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1393. A part of Nashville Avenue from its intersection with a line 3.0 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 57th Street to its inter- section with a line 16,0 feet North of the North Property Line of 58th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1394. BIND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the abovementioned streets was performed under the -supervision of the City Enginee and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the Cityrs portion of the cost and to release escrow money. TEXAS 79406 August 13, 1964 Honorable Mayor and City Council Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Pioneer Pavers, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Southgate ,A,ddition,''Lots 240-256, and find the improvements on Memphis Avenue from 58th Street to the alley North of 57th Street, 57th Street from Memphis Avenue to Nashville Avenue, a part of Nashville ,avenue from the alley .North of 57th to 58th Street (concrete only) as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in,.accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
