AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7084 AND
THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK MAKING THE
FOLLOWING CHANGES: A DISANNEXATION OF AN UNIMPROVED AREA
GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS A 5.648 ACRE TRACT OF LAND, LOCATED IN
SECTION 6, BLOCK AK, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR A CORRECTION TO THE CITY MAP; PROVIDING AN
ORDER; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND, PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code Sec.
43.145(a), the City of Lubbock hereby discontinues an unimproved area generally
described as a 5.648 acre tract of land, located in Section 6, Block AK, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock, County, Texas (the "Area) as part of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of
the City of Lubbock to discontinue the Area as a part of the City of Lubbock through this
Ordinance;
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoning Map are
amended as follows:
The disannexation of an unimproved area generally described as a 5.648 acre tract
of land, located in Section 6, Block AK, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas, and being further described as follows:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION: Attached as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer, or his designee, is hereby authorized and
directed to correct the map of the City of Lubbock by removing the Area disannexed by
this Ordinance, indicating on the map the date of disannexation and the number of this
Ordinance. The City Secretary and the City Engineer shall each keep in their respective
offices an official map of the City of Lubbock showing the boundaries of the municipal
corporation, and removing the Area herein disannexed.
SECTION 3. THAT upon the effective date of this Ordinance, any service plan
previously designated for the Area is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 4. THAT in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code Sec.
43.145(b), upon the adoption of this Ordinance, the Ordinance shall serve as an order
discontinuing the Area.
SECTION 5. THAT should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of
this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of
this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 6. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publication
of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law.

being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Southern boundary of the City Limits of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas and the
Southern boundary of a 100.00 acre tract of land as described under County Clerk File Number 2020024320 of the Official
Public Records of Lubbock County, Texas, which bears S. 01 042'34" W. a distance of 4376.30 feet and N. 88°35'39" W. a
distance of 789.49 feet from the Northeast comer of Section 6, Block AK, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE S. 01047'03" W., along the Southern boundary of said Lubbock City Limits a distance of 638.99 feet to a point for
the Southeast corner of this tract;
