Said Change Order No. 1 is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. Adjustments to "Estimated Quantities" to aline time in a Unit Price Contract do not require a Change Order. All work that alters the nature of the construction or that is not an integral part of the project objective must be let out for public bid. Description of Change (alteration, deviation, addition, or deletion) caused by conditions encountered during construction not covered by the The original construction drawings called for the installation of a Sanitary Sewer Line from the new restroom at the McAlister Dog Park to a tie-in point on 50" Street, west of Frankford Avenue. In an effort to reduce construction costs, initial plans for the Sanitary Sewer Line called for COL personnel to perform the trenching and installation of required manholes and sewer line. After project bids were submitted, evaluated, and approved, Staff determined that COL personnel were not available to perform the work to meet completion at the desired date. Request Change Order #001 for $165,465.60 to cover the cost of installation of a Sanitary Sewer Line from the new restroom at the McAlister Dog Park as per COL Design Staff. Where the Change Order is negotiated, the Change Order must be fully documented and itemized as to costs, including material quantities, material costs, taxes, insurance, employee benefits, other related costs, profit and overhead. Where certain unit prices are contained in the initial Contract, no deviations are allowed in computing negotiated change order costs.
