f RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as
spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Re-
solution as if fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of April a 1964.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS 1
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK {
THAT, the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of
Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE HUN-
DRED !FIFTY NINE AND 72!100 ($159.72} DOLLARS and other good and valauble
consideration to it in hand paid by Minnie Walker, a widow, of the County of
Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do, by
these presents, ]E3ARGAIN, SELL, RELEAS =,, ,and FOREVER Ql3IT CLAIM unto
the said Minnie Walker, a widow, her heirs and assigns, all its right title and
interest, SAVE AND EXCEPT the hereinafter described utility easement, in and
to that certain tract or parcel of Land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of
Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
A parcel of land out of Section 5B, Lubbock County, Texas, and
being the abandoned South 1/2 of East 22nd Street between the East
line of Cedar Avenue and the West line of a North-South alley be-
tween Cedar and Date more fully described as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 20, Wheelock's
Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE North a distance of 25 feet to a point in the center line of
East 22nd Street;
THENCE East along the center line of East 22nd a distance of 140
feet to a point in the West line of the North-South alley between
Cedar and Date* Avenues;
THE, South along the alley line a distance of 25 feet to the North-
east corner of said Lot 1, Block 20;
THENCE '"West along the North line of said Lot 1, a distance of 140
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belongin, unto the
said Minnie Walker, a widow, her heirs and assigns, forever, so that neither it the
said City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns, nor any person or persons
claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter. have, claim or demand any right or
title to the aforesaid premises or appy. rtenances, or any part thereof; SAVE AND
EXCEPT a 7 :foot strip of land extending along the North side of the above described
property is hereby reserved in the grantor its assigns and successors for all the
purposes of a general utility easement.
