HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 102865F - Commending The Secretary's Office For Exceeding Its United Fund Goal - 10/28/196511 GAS:bw RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE CITY SECRETARVS OFFICE AND THE INDIVI- DUAL MEMBERS THEREOF FOR ITS OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY BY ACHIEVING 14210 OF THE UNITED FUND GOAL FOR SAID DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS,, it is recognized by all Men of Good Will that by joint voluntary contributions to the United Fund, the less fortunate among us can be most effectively aided; and, WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock was assigned the goal of raising THIRTEEN THOUSAND ($13, 000.00) DOLLARS for the United Fund; and, WHEREAS, th=rough the voluntary contributions of all departments such goal has been exceeded by ONE THOUSAND ($1, 000.00) DOLLARS; and, WHEREAS, such outstanding performance in contributing to the wel- fare of the Citizens of Lubbock through the United Fund is due largely to the per- formance of individual departments in exceeding their goals; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Secretaryts Office and the individual mem bers thereof be and the same are hereby particularly commended for their out- standing contribution to the welfare of the community through their achievement of 14210 of their 1965 United Fund goal. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of this resolution signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Secretary be delivered to the head of said Department and read to the members thereof.
