HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 032565J - Quit Claim - Highway Department - Several Parcels Of Land - 03/25/1965' R MYTbw RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: 5 THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed between the City of Lubbock and the Texas Highway Department attached here- with which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council, and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Senter, Jr-,Ority Attorney QUITCLAIM STATE OF TEXAS X COUNTY OF KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That City of Lubbock U-3807 RW 783-1-1 Loop 289 Lubbock County of the County ofli��-,iia--� State of Texas, hereinafter referred to as Grantors, w�he her ones more, for and in consideration of the sum of [nNE 4A/ID /Z Dollars and other good and valuable consideration to Grantors in hand paid by the State of Texas, acting by and through the State Highway Commission, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien is retained, either expressed or implied, have quitclaimed, and do by these presents bargain, sell, release and forever quitclaim unto the State of Texas all of Grantors' right, title, interest, claim and demand in and to that certain tract or parcel of land, situated in the County of Lubbock State of Texas, and being more particularly described as follows, to wit: Several parcels of land conveyed to the State of Texas out of Lubbock County, Texas, the conveyances for which are recorded in the Deei Records of Lubbock County, Texas; said parcels being listed follows: (1) Parcel 8 /- 16.758 acres of land out of Section 6, Block E-2 and Section 28, Block E-2, conveyed by Judgment from J. Paul Newman and recorded in Volume 957, Page 511. Exception: A twenty (20) foot wide strip of land whose centerline is ninty- one feet South of and parallel to the Forth line of Section 28, Block E-2, said centerline of said twenty (20) foot, strip intersects the centerline of Loop 289 at approximately Station 208+77. (2) Parcel 6-A - 8.940 acres of land out, of Section 66, Block E-2, conveyed by Deed from M. C. Kinser, et ux and Nora Kinser and recorded in Volume 706, Page 16. (3) Parcel 6=B - 3.775 acres of land out of Section 66, Block E-2, corweyed by Deed from M. C. Kinser, et ux, and Nora Kinser and recorded in Volume 706, Page 16.
