HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 072265C - Street Improvements - Carr & Howard Construction Co - Sagemont Addition - 07/22/1965RESOLUTION ell RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Sagemont Addition, Lots 6-72 and 137-140, made arrangements with Carr and Howard Construction Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Sagemont Addition, Lots 6-72 and 137-140 including the following streets: Elkhart Avenue from its intersection with a line 230 feet North of the North Property Line of 35th.Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley South of 37th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1476. 36th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet East of the West Property Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 18 feet East of the East Property Line of Dover Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1477. Dover Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property eo" ' Line of 35th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley South of 36th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1478. 37th Street from its intersection with a Line of Elkhart Avenue (West Leg) to its the West Property Line of Elkhart Avenue Subdivision Unit Number 1479. line 15 feet West of the West Property intersection with a line 135 feet West of (West Leg), known and.designated as New 36th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the West Property Line of Elkhart Avenue to its intersection With a line 3 feet West of the West Property Line of,the alley West of Elkhart Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1480. 35th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the West Property Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet East of the East Property Line of Elkhart Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1481. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. passage. Elkhart Avenue from 35th Street to.the.:alley North of 37th Street; 36th.Street from Chicago Avenue to Dover Avenue; Dover Avenue from 35th Street to the alley North of 36th Street; 37th Street from Elkhart Avenue to L35' W. of Elkhart Avenue; 36th Street from Elkhart Avenue to the alley West of Elkhart Avenue and 35th Street from Chicago Avenue to Elkhart Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
