HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 010666G - Accept Paving Improvements - T,J, Hodges Co. - Melonie Park Addition - 01/06/1966h 10" J /E _n R F.gnT.TTTT0W RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Melonie Park Addition, Lots 495-505, 508-523, 526-552, 555-563, made arrangements with T. J. Hodges Construction Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivisi under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Melonie Park Addition including the following streets: 68th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet North of the North Property Line of Joliet Drive to its intersection with the West Line of Lot 508 Melonie Park Addition (South Side) known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1577. 69th Street from its intersection with the P.T. 40.18 feet West of the West Property Line of 68th Street to its intersection with the West Line of Lot 526 Melonie Park Addition (South Side) known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1578. 70th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet North of the North Property Line of Nashville Avenue to its intersection with the West Line of Lot 555 Melonie Park Addition (South Side) known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1579. The West 1/2 of Nashville Avenue from its intersection with a line 15.00 feet South of the South Property Line of Joliet Drive (West Leg) to its intersection with a line 10.00 feet North of the North Property Line of Loop 289 (West Leg) known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1581. Alley Return on Loop 289 and on the West Side of Nashville Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1581-A. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. r passage. Hodges Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Melonie Park Addition, Lots 495-505, 508-523, 526-552, 555-563 and find the improvements on 68th Street from Joliet Drive to West Line of Lot 508, Melonie Park, 69th Street from 68th Street to West Line of Lot 526 Melonie Park, 70th Street from Nashville Avenue to West Line of Lot 555, Melonie Park, the West 1/2 of Nashville Avenue from Joliet Drive to Loop 289, the alley return on Loop 289 West of Nashville Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
