HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 052666F - Street Improvements - WD Turner Construction Co - Redbud Heights Addition - 05/26/1966RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Redbud Heights Addition Lots 32-56, 57-67, 68-73, 74-104 & 109-119, made arrangements with W. D. Turner Construction Company for, the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Redbud Heights Addition including the following streets: Chicago Avenue from its intersection with a line 98.82 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 12th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of the alley North of 12th Street known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1533. 9th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West Property Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 15.00 feet East of the East Property Line of Dover Avenue known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1608. 10th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West Property Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 15.00 feet East of the East Property Line of Dover Avenue known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1609. Dover Avenue from its intersection with a line 117.70 feet North of the North Property Line of 9th Street to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley South of 10th Street known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1610. Chicago Avenue from its intersection with a line 3.00 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 10th Street to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley South of 10th Street known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1611. 8th Place from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West Property Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 17.00 feet West of the East Property Line of Loop 289 known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1636. Dover Avenue from its intersection with a line 15.00 feet South of the South Property Line of 8th Place to its intersection with the South Property Line of Lot 56, Redbud Heights Addition known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1637. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and.he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. passage. Turner Construction Company, paving contractor, under his contract with the subdividers of Redbud Heights Addition, Lots 32 thru 56, 57 thru 67, 68 thru 73, 74 thru 104, 109 thru 119 and find the improvements on Chicago Avenue from alley North of 10th Street to 12th Street, 9th Street from Chicago Avenue to Dover Avenue, 10th Street from Chicago Avenue to Dover Avenue, Dover Avenue from 8th Place to alley South of 10th Street, 8th Place from Chicago Avenue to Loop 289 as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount.shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock.
