BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, that
James W. Wilson, the special attorney previously employed by the City to
prosecute its anti-trust claims for damages growing out of purchases of
aluminum conductor cable, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to
compromise and settle the City's claims for a total recovery of not less
than $18,783.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said James W. Wilson be and he is here-
by authorized to execute on behalf of the City all settlement agreements,
covenants not to sue, dismissals and all other documents and instruments
necessary or convenient to effectuate such settlement, and to receive on
behalf of the City the payments due the City under such settlement.
ADOPTED this 27th day of Avril. 1967.
