BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
in favor of Floyd Honey and wife, Denver Davis Honey, Cecil Wayne Honey and
wife, Frances B. Honey, and Glenys Honey, a Feme Sole, attached herewith
which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the
minutes of this Council shall constitute and be apart of this Resolution as if
fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 12th day of June , 1969.

QUIT CLAIM DEED.
THE STATE OF TEXAS I
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality of the County
of Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE
AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration
b it in hand paid by FLOYD HONEY and wife, DENVER DAVIS HONEY,
CECIL WAYNE HONEY and wife, FRANCES B. HONEY, and GLENYS
HONEY, a Feme Sole, of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents BARGAIN,
SELL, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said FLOYD HONEY
and wife, DENVER DAVIS HONEY, CECIL WAYNE HONEY and wife,
FRANCES B. HONEY, and GLENYS HONEY, a Feme Sole, of the County
of Lubbock, all its right, title and interest in and to those certain tracts
or parcels of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas,
described as follows, to -wit:
TWO tracts of land out of the west one-half of
Section 11, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas,
said tracts of land being abandoned right of way
of Loop 289 and Quaker Avenue and being more
fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
TRACT 1 (abandoned Loop 289 right of way)
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the West
line of said Section 11, Block E-2, with the original
South right of way line of Loop 289, said right of way
line being further described in a deed to the State of
Texas recorded in Volume 666, Page 307, Lubbock
County Deed Records, said point being 1904. 1 feet
South 0 ° 03' East from the Northwest corner of said
Section 11;
THENCE North 0°03' West along the West line of said
Section 11 a distance of 276.46 feet to a point in the
present South right of way line of said Loop 289;
THENCE South 78021' East along said present right of
way line a distance of 325. 36 feet to a point;
THENCE in a Southwesterly direction along a circular
curve to the left, the center of the curve being South
11 039' West, 215.0 feet from the beginning of the curve,
a distance of 381.62 feet along the original right of way
line of said Loop 289 to a point;
THENCE South 89°57' West along. said original right of
way line 60.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

TRACT 2 (abandoned Quaker Avenue right of way)
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the West
line of said Section 11, Block E-2, with the original
South right of way line of Loop 289, said right of way
line being further described in a deed to the State of
Texas recorded in Volume 666, Page 307, Lubbock
County Deed Records, said point being 1904. 1 feet
South 0°03' East from the Northwest corner of said
Section 11;
THENCE South 0003' East along the West line of said
Section 11 a distance of 921.03 feet to a point on the
Northeast right of way line of the revised alignment
of Quaker Avenue;
THENCE in a Southeasterly direction along a circular
curve to the right, the center of the curve being South
'67°41'19" West, 805.0 feet from the beginning of this
call, a distance of 57.93 feet to a point which is 20.00
feet East of the West line of said Section 11;
THENCE North 0003' West parallel to and 20.00 feet
East of the West line of said Section 11 a distance of
975.39 feet to a point on 1he original South right of way
line of said Loop 289;
THENCE South 890571 West a distance of 20.0 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto
the said FLOYD HONEY, and wife, DENVER DAVIS HONEY, CECIL WAYL4E
HONEY and wife, FRANCES B. HONEY and GLENYS HONEY, a Feme Sole,
their heirs and assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under it shall,
at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right to title to the aforesaid
premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
