RESOLUTION
IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
[AT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and
behalf of the City of Lubbock, Amendment No. 1 to the Office Lease for additional square
stage for City of Lubbock Community Development Department, by and between the City
Lubbock and Housing Authority of the City of Lubbock, Texas, and related documents.

Community Development:
AMENDMENT NO.1 TO OFFICE LEASE
WHEREAS, on November 19, 2019, the City of Lubbock (as Tenant) entered into
an Office Lease with the Housing Authority of the City of Lubbock (as Landlord);
WHEREAS, the Office Lease set forth the Premises to be leased to the Tenant as
Approximately 2500 square feet in the Lubbock Housing Authority Administrative
Building located at 1708 Crickets in Lubbock, Texas 79401;
WHEREAS, the Office Lease set forth the Base Rent (monthly) as $2,083.33 based
on 2500 square feet at $9.00 per square foot plus $1.00 per square foot for the
utilities;
WHEREAS, the Office Lease provided that the lease may be amended only by an
instrument in writing signed by Landlord and Tenant; and
WHEREAS, the Tenant and Landlord desire to amend the Office Lease to include
an additional 997 square feet for additional offices and storage adjacent to the office
space occupied by the Community Development at an additional monthly rent of
$830.84 calculated at $9.00 per square foot plus $1.00 per square foot for utilities,
leaving all other terms of the Office Lease as they are;
NOW THEREFORE, the following terms of the above -described Office Lease are
hereby amended as follows:

square feet at $9.00 per square foot plus $1.00 per
square foot for the utilities.)
There shall be no additional Security Deposit and no additional charges for utilities.
The additional rent shall be due beginning in the first month for which the Tenant
takes possession of the additional space.
Term (months): Twelve (12) months, subject to provisions of
section E. 21 of this agreement. Tenant and
Landlord retain the right, at its election, to terminate
this lease by giving the other Party thirty (30) days
written notice that lease is terminated.
Commencement Date: April 1, 2020
Termination Date: March 31, 2022
