RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the MAYOR of the CITY OF LUBBOCK BE and is hereby authorized
and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
in favor of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock, Texas, attached
herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread
upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution
as if fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 12tH day of September 1974.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND
NOJ 100 ($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in
hand paid by THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,
TEXAS, a body politic and corporate, of Lubbock County, Texas, hereinafter
called "GRANTEE", the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby
by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT
CLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all its right title and interest in and to that
certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lub-
bock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
A portion of 2nd Street at the intersection of Avenue "M►l
and being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the South line of 2nd Street, said
point being West a distance of 300.00 feet from the North-
east corner of Lot 11, Block 7, William Tubbs Addition to
the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE North a distance of 60. 00 feet to a point in the
North line of 2nd Street and the South line of Lot 17, Block
13, Guadalupe Addition;
THENCE West along the North line of 2nd Street and the South
line of said Lot 17, Block 13, a distance of 61.65 feet;
THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the right, said curve
having a radius of 60.00 feet, a delta angle of 90 °, tangent
lengths of 60.00 feet, and a chord distance of 84. 85 feet to a
point in the South line of 2nd Street;
THENCE East along the South line of 2nd Street a distance of
1. 65 feet to the. POINT OF BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular
the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto
the said GRANTEE, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the
GRANTOR, CITY OF LUBBOCK, its heirs, or assigns, nor any persons claiming
under it shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the
title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
