HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 111876F - Authorization For CDBG Applications - Dept HUD - 11/18/1976LJ:lb R� RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY EVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS; ASSURANCES CONTAINED IN SUCH AP- LICATION AND REGULATIONS; THE DESIGNATION OF THE CITY MANA- ER AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK O ACT IN CONNECTION WITH APPLICATION. WHEREAS, Title I. of the Housing and Community Development Att of 974, Public Law 93-383 provides for a program of Community Development lock Grants; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after receiving the recommendations of the ommunity Development Advisory Committee and after public hearings as re- tired by law, has determined that an application for Community Development lock Grants would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock; OW THEREFORE: E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized to e), ,lute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an application for a Community evelopment Block Grant as administered by the Department of Housing and rban Development; THAT the City of Lubbock hereby gives assurances of its compliance with regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements of OMB Circular #A-95 that it will comply with the regulations, policies, guidelines and require- ats of Federal Management Circulars 74-4 and 74-7 as they relate to the lication, acceptance and use of Federal Funds for this Federally assisted gram and with all other assurances and understandings required in the ap- :ation; THAT the City Manager of the City of Lubbock is hereby designated as th )rized representative of the City of Lubbock to act in connection with this :cation and to provide such additional information as may be required. THAT .the ,City Attorney of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized to xecute the legal. certification attached hereto and made a part hereof.
