RESOLUTION
FE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
irected to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
1 favor of H and W Company, a partnership composed of John G. Wilkerson,
r. and Beaty Howard, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the min-
tes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall consti
ate and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail.

QUITCLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lub-
bock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/ 100
($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by
H & W Company, a partnership composed of John G. Wilkerson, Jr. and Beaty
Howard,. hereinafter called "GRANTEE", the receipt of which is hereby acknow-
ledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND
FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all its right title and interest
in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
A 25. 00 foot wide alley out of the Southwest quarter of Section 6,
Block E-2, being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is 1, 680. 37 feet North and 1, 006.2
feet East of the Southwest corner of Section 6, Block E-2, Lub-
bock County, Texas;
THENCE South 54 0091 West a distance of 354. 04 feet;
THENCE North 350511 West a distance of 25.00 feet;
THENCE North 54,0091 East a distance of 372. 11 feet;
THENCE South a distance of 30. 84 feet to the PLACE OF BE -
PINNING. (Note: The above described tract of land being all of
the alley described in the dedication deed recorded in Volume 911,
Page 472, of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, said
dedication deed being executed by R. G. Henry in favor of the public,'
and/or City of Lubbock, Texas, under date of October 15, 1962, and
filed for record on October 16, 1962, in said Records, reference
being hereby made to said record for all pertinent purposes, situated
West of the West right-of-way line of Englewood Avenue.)
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the
rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said
GRANTEE, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the Grantor, City
of Lubbock, its successors, or assigns, nor any persons claiming under it shall
at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the title to the afore-
said premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
