'Such notice shall be published in accordance with the requirements of Vernon's Ann.Civ.St. art 2559. °Passed by City Council this 12th day of April 2 1979. City Attorney It NOTICE TO BANKING INSTITUTIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK NOTICE is hereby given that the Governing Body of the -City of Lubbock, subject to the provisions of Article 2559 through Article 2566a, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, as amended, will receive applications from,all interested banking institutions within the City of Lubbock to serve as prime depository of the City of Lubbock and maintain custody of the funds of the City for a period of years from award date through May 30, Any such applications shall -'be delivered to the office of the City Secretary in the City Hall prior to 10:00.a.m., to be opened publicly in that office at 10:15 a.m., Monday April 30, 1979. It is requested that each bank bid by filling in the appropriate blanks for the various specifications which follow. Abid for.'less than all of the City funds should be clearly labeled as such and the identity of the de- sired funds specifically indicated. Interest Rates Demand Deposits Open Savings Account (Interest paid from date of deposit to date of withdrawal.) Fixed Maturities and/or C.D.'s under $100..000.: Thirty (30) Days Sixty (60) Days Ninety (90). Days One Hundred Eighty (180) Days One Year Compounded how often? When is interest paid? In addition to the normal services and supplies furnished by the depository bank, most of the following services are standard and common to depository con- tracts. The City of Lubbock requests that these services be furnished, at no charge, as a part of this proposal. Please delete those services which you cannot offer and add any additional concessions or services which you may want to offer to the City of Lubbock and make any comments as further consideration in selecting the City's depository. Wire Transfer Service Parking Facilities Safe Deposit Boxes Coin Wrappers Night Depository Service including Bags Keys Traveler'.s and Cashier's Checks Daily Balance on each Account Detailed Monthly Statement of Outstanding Certificates of Deposit as of Last Business Day Detailed Monthly Statement of Other Outstanding Investments as of Last Business Day Delivery of Monthly Bank Statements All monies which are deposited into the depository under the provisions of this proposal shall be continuously secured, in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas applicable thereto, by a valid pledge of direct obligations each individually having a par value or market value when less than par, so that when all securities are totaled in aggregate, exclusive of accrued interest, are at all times at least equal to the total amount of money on deposit in said several funds on deposit in the depository, with the exception as indicated in Article 2566a. Such securities so pledged shall be approved as to kind and value by the governing body of the City of Lubbock. A detailed statement of securities pledged.against,City deposits as of the last business day of each month shall be required, with such statement to indicate both par and market value of each pledged security. If the City so desires it may purchase certificates of deposit with maturity dates any time in the future. All time deposits or time certi- _.,,ficates of deposit which have not elapsed on the termination date of the finally approved depository contract, shall remain on deposit with the same depository under the same terms and conditions in effect during said contract until the date such time deposits have elapsed. The City of Lubbock reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to accept the bid the City considers the most advantageous. The City also reserves the right to place or invest part or all of any surplus or excess funds outside the designated depository, in any lawful manner as may be determined by the City Council, from time to time throughout the term of the contract. In the event it is desired to submit more than one proposal, the terms of such proposal should be submitted on a duplicate bid sheet and marked "ALTERNATE PROPOSAL". All monies which are deposited into the depository under the provisions of this proposal sha l.1 be continuously secured, in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas applicable thereto, by a valid pledge of direct obligations each individually having a par value or market value when less than par, so that when all securities are totaled in aggregate, exclusive of accrued interest, are at all times at least equal to the total amount of money on deposit in said several funds on deposit in the depository, with the exception as indicated in Article 2566a. Such securities so pledged shall be approved as to kind and value by the governing body of the City of Lubbock. A detailed statement of securities pledged against City deposits as of the last business day of each month shall be required, with such statement to indicate both par and market value of each pledged security. If the City so desires it may purchase certificates of deposit with maturity dates any time in the future. All time deposits or time certi- ficates of deposit which have not elapsed on the termination date of the finally approved depository contract, shall remain on deposit with the same depository under the same terms and conditions in effect during said contract until the date such time deposits have elapsed. The City of Lubbock reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to accept the bid the City considers the most advantageous. The City also reserves the right to place or invest part or all of any surplus or excess funds outside the designated depository, in any lawful manner as may be determined by the City Council, from time to time throughout the term of the contract.
