HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 242 - Agreement Externsion - LUTS, MPO - Unified Work Program FY 1980 - 08/23/1979' ( LGB:cl « RESOLUTION NO. 242 - 8/23/79 RESOLUTION �V BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an extension to the Agreement between the City of Lubbock and the Steering Committee of the Lubbock Urban Transportation Study (Metropolitan Planning Organization) attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Bean, Assistant City Attorney ` TIED TO RESOLUTION NO. 242 - 8/23/79 CONTRACT STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK THIS CONTRACT, entered into this 23rd day of August 1979, by and between the Steering Committee of the Lubbock Urban Transportation Study (Metropolitan Planning Organization), herein- after referred to as the "MPO" and the City of Lubbock, Texas, hereinafter referred to as the "City". WITNESSETH WHEREAS, on October 23, 1975, the MPO entered into a contract with the City of Lubbock, Texas; NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that the aforementioned contract of October 23, 1975, shall, subject to the condition hereinafter stated, be extended to cover the period from September 15 1979, through August 31, 1980— Work will be performed as set forth in the Unified Work Program FY 1980 (September 1, 1979 - August 31, 1980). Condition: Exhibit "B" attached hereto shall replace Exhibit "B" as attached to the aforementioned contract of October 23, 1975. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused these presents to be executed on the aforementioned date. At the present time, the City of Lubbock is performing certain transportation planning tasks and receiving reimbursement as described in a contract dated September 14, 1978, and signed by representatives of the City of Lubbock and the Metropolitan Planning Organization of the Lubbock Urbanized Area. This contract expires August 31, 1979, and the enclosed contract is to provide for the extension of the contract through August 31, 1980.
