HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 379 - Prepare/File Estimates, Etc-City Engineer-1979 Assessment Paving Improvements - 01/10/1980RTiCOT TTTTOTT RESOLUTION #379 - 1/10/80 RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ENGINEER TO PREPARE AND FILE ESTIMATES, ROLLS, ETC., IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED ADDITIONS TO THE 1979 ASSESSMENT PAVING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, HIGHWAYS, AVENUES AND/OR ALLEYS IN AND ALONG THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered and provided for the improvement of portions of sundry streets, highways, avenues and/or alleys in and along the boundaries of the City as designated below: UNIT AND SUB -UNIT STREET FROM TO 36' Wide Streets 2234-86 64th Street Utica Ave. Vicksburg Ave. 2234-87 65th Street Vicksburg Ave. York Dr. 2234-88 65th Street Utica Ave. Vicksburg Ave. 2234-89 65th Street Salem Ave. Toledo Ave. 2234-90 Vicksburg Avenue 65th St. 66th St. 2234=91 York Drive 62nd St. 65th St. 2234-92 Akron Avenue N. Loop 289 Stanford St. 2234-93 Raleigh Avenue Itasca St. Alley S. of Itasca Street 42' Wide Streets 2235-16 Utica Avenue 64th St. 66th St. 10' Wide Alleys A-460-76 E -W Alley between 43rd & 44th Gary Ave. Hartford Ave. AND it is proposed to make and levy assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof and others for a portion of the cost of such improvements. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, THAT: I. The Engineer of the City be, and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City estimates showing cost of improvements in each Unit, showing the description of the property abutting upon each unit with the names of the owners of such property and the amounts proposed to be assessed against each parcel of property showing other matters and things, it being specially provided, however, that any mistake in such estimates or in amounts and in the descriptions of property or names of owners shall in no wise affect, invalidate or impair any assessment which may be levied. II Such estimates, rolls and statements shall show all information required to be shown thereon by the proceedings of the City relating to such improvements and the law and charter with amendments in force in the City, and by the provisions of Article 1105B, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas as amended by Chapter 281, Acts of the 52nd Legislature. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
