Ma AS, the herainaf ter described area was not included in and made a part of the Official Zoning Rhp of theCity of Lubbock on the effective date of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, as originally enacted; and, hHEMAS, the proposer' changes in and supplements to the zoning districts as hereinafter made have been duly presented to the Zoning aid Planning Commission for its recom-,--.endation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commissi n finds thot making the proposed changes and sunplements as hereinafter set out will be in the nublic interest, ands WHERM, all conditi ns precedent required by law for a valid supplement and amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Pip have been fully complied with as well as giving all notices in compliance with Section 2'-` of Ordinance No. 1695, as well as notices provided by Article 1011f, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock lzrning Avalanche more than fifteen 915) days prior to the date of public heaing before the City Commission on such notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was W the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zon- ing Ordinance and the Zoning 1hy be amended and su7plementeO in substantial com- pliance with the proposal, end this ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; 11N."11, BE IT CRDA111D BY THA CITY CC1.aSSICNOF THI CITY OF 03BOCI: ' SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695, as amended and the Official Zoning Q Mapof the City of Lubbock BS and the same are herebya,runded and, supplemented, so that the he0safter described area shall be placed and included in the respective zoning districts of the City of Lubbock as hereinafter set forth, and so included and shown upon the Official Zoning --ap of the City of Lubbock, as follows: Z0101 CASE NO. 610 Place all the following described property in an "R-1" Zoning District, to - wit: that property annexed to the Oity of Lubbock on September 13, 1956, by Ordinance 1948, and described by mates and bounds as follows: BEGIENING at the Southwest corner of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, w"ich corner is on the aresent City Limit Line; THICE, North along the Went line of Section 3, being also along the present City Linit Line as described in Ordinance No. 1618 and Ordinance No. 17%, a distance of 2315 feet, Pyre or less to a point; TH710E East along the :,resent City limit Line as described in Ordi- nance No. 1651, a distance of 1980 feet to a po nt; - THYGI South along the Present City limit Line as described in Ordinance Yo. 1866, a diptince of 315 feet to a point; T'H'HCE East along the present City Limit Line being the center- line of 60th Street as described in Ordinance No. 1866, a distance of 660 feet to a point; TEENCE South along the present City Ujit Line as described in Ordi- nance No. 1651, a distance of 1980 feetl more or leas, to a point, being the Southwest corner of the Southeast one-fourth of Section 3, Block E; THWE Nest along the South section line of Section 3, a distance of 2640 feet, more or less, to the PLACE :F BIGYNIM.
