HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2006-R0181 - Amendment To Contract - MWM Architects, Inc - YSC, FM1585 & Milwaukee - 04/13/2006Resolution No. 2006-RO181 April 13, 2006 Item No. 6.4 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, an Amendment to a contract with MWM Architects, Inc. for Architectural Design Services for the development of the Youth Sports Complex to be located at FM 1585 and Milwaukee. Said Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. Box 2000 1010 9'h Street Lubbock, Texas 79457 Re: Contract No 6207 Youth Sports Activities Project for the City of Lubbock HWY 1585 & Milwaukee Ave. Lubbock County, Texas Dear Mr. Truesdell, This letter shall serve as an Amendment to our July 11, 2005 Contract referenced above that revises the Scope of the City of Lubbock Youth Sports Activities Project. The Project shall be divided into Three (3) Phases. Phase One shall include the design of twelve (12) softball fields in three (3) four field clusters each with a common concession and public restroom building and a fourth cluster that is comprised of three (3) Little League fields and one (1) Junior League field. The field clusters will have amenities similar to those built in McAlister Park. All sixteen (16) fields shall be illuminated for evening games. The site development shall include parking lot design for approximately 2,500 cars. Phase Two shall include designs for approximately Eighteen (18) Senior soccer fields, nine (9) Junior soccer fields, thirteen (13) intermediate soccer fields, and sixteen (16) Pee Wee soccer fields along with one (1) freestanding public toilettoffice building, one (1) free standing public toilet/maintenance building and one (1) freestanding public toilet/large meeting room freestanding building. Eight (8) of the Senior Soccer fields will be illuminated for evening games. Phase Three shall include the design of a freestanding Championship Softball Field with a yet determined seating capacity. The fee for Phase One Work shall be a Lump Sum in the amount of Six Hundred, Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650, 000.00) plus reimbursable expenses and any Owner authorized additional services. Phase Two and Three fees shall be negotiated at a later date when the City of Lubbock authorizes any of those Phases to proceed. All other terms of our original Contract (Contract No 6207) shall remain in force.
