HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2011-R0032 - Approve LEDA And Market Lubbock Projects, Programs, And Activities FY 2009-2010 - 01/13/2011Resolution No. 2011-R0032 January 13, 2011 Item No. 6.8 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, Inc. and the Market Lubbock, Inc. projects, programs, and activities for the fiscal year 2009-2010 which are included in the 2010 Project Summary Brochure are hereby approved as presented to the City Council of the City of Lubbock. Said 2010 Project Summary Brochure is attached hereto and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the Council. LEDA is responsible for supporting the creation of new and existing primaryjobs under the Economic Development Act of 1979, as amended (Sec. 501.001 et seq, Texas Local Government Code). Under the provisions of this statute, applicants must submit a written request for assistance providing the necessary information in order for the Board of Directors to become satisfied that the applicant and the project fall within the parameters of the Act, our corporate purposes, and the goals of the City of Lubbock.
