ORDINANCE NO. _,;;;,:13""'72,;;;._ __
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE REM>VAL OF CERTAIN PARKING METERS;
REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND DEX}L.ARING AN EM!mGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has passed an Ordinance establishing
angle pandng in the 1200 Bloc-.k of Avenue G,and it is nov necessary that sucn
parking be parallel to the curbs in order to provide a greater use of the public
street; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK1
SECTION 1. That the City Traffic Engineer BE, and he hereby is
authorized to cause due ~al of parkillg meters Nos. G-12-21, G-12-2.3, G-12-25,
G-12-, Z1, G-12-29 .( G-12-.31, G-12-.3.3~ G-12-.35, and G-12-.37.
SECTION 2. That the parking meters authorized to be removed by the
provision of Section 1 (One) of this Ordinance, after all. money contained in the
meters has been duly checked and accounted for, shall be reconditioned and
renumbered for use in other locations.
SECl'ION 3. 'lba t part or provision of any ordinance or order in conflict
with this OrdiDallce is hereby repealed. ·
SECTION 4• Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard
injurious to the public and the publicfa use of the streets, the enactmant of
this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, thereby creating a publico
necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2)
se~rate meetings be dispensed with and this Ordinance shall be effective from the
date of its passage as provided by law.
