Change Order No: 01 Contract Title: Construct Federal Inspection Service Bid/RFP No: ITB 22-16447-TF Project No: 92619 "Change Order" means a written order to a Contractor, executed by the Owner, in accordance with the Contract authorizing an addition to, deletion from, or adjustment or revision of the requirements of the Contract documents, or an adjustment to the compensation payable to the Contractor, or to the time for performance of the Contract and completion of the project, or a combination thereof, which does not alter the nature of project and is an integral part of the project objective. Adjustments to "Estimated Quantities" to a line time in a Unit Price Contract do not require a Change Order. All work that alters the nature of the construction or that is not an integral part of the project objective must be let out for public bid. Description of Change (alteration, deviation, addition, or deletion) caused by conditions encountered during construction not covered by the is Chance Order Items: Item #1: Gypsum Furring Wall Addition Contractor Proposal Document: LBB CBP — CCR 2 - Furring Wall (TK Construction) Cost: $5,671.68 Description: Gypsum Furring Wall to be constructed on the West and South walls of the CBP Waiting Room Lobby. The purpose of this additional construction item is to conceal the interior side of existing CMU and Brick Masonry walls which have an uneven surface and are not aesthetically pleasing. This condition was unknown prior to construction. Item #2: Roof Top Unit (RTU) Relocation and Exhaust Air Venting Design Revision Contractor Proposal Document: LBB CBP _ CCR 3 - RTU & Exhaust Changes (TK Construction) Cost: $29,263.32 Description: The RTU placement issue was due to inaccurate field information. The existing RTU was off by about 3 feet from where plans indicated. Thus, it interfered with the clearance requirements with the designated location of the new unit. The Exhaust ventilation re -work was an oversight during design. It was anticipated that independent duct connections for the general return air to the RTU and the exhaust air that would be routed through the energy wheel. The BOD unit utilizes a single duct connection that intermingles the exhaust airflow with the general return air and then routes it through the energy wheel. This was missed during design and thus needed to change the routing of the exhaust air from the toilets and the Janitor Closet so as not to comingle that exhaust air with the general return air and likely introduce exhaust air back into the occupied spaces. Item #3: 60 Construction Contract Extension — IT & Security Revisions Contractor Proposal Document: LBB CBP — CCR 4 - 60 Day Contract Extension (TK Construction) Cost: $19,199.71 Description: Revisions to the IT and Security System Design have resulted in an estimated need to extend the construction contract period by 60 days. Cost for this item is for additional project supervision by the Contractor. Where the Change Order is negotiated, the Change Order must be fully documented and itemized as to costs, including material quantities, material costs, taxes, insurance, employee benefits, other related costs, profit and overhead Where certain unit prices are contained in the initial Contract, no deviations are allowed in computing negotiated change order costs.
