East Side Grant Program is to be implemented, through Resolution No. 2018-R0395; WHEREAS, the Council now desires to amend the boundaries of the Zone, in order to adjust the placement of the boundary line along the southern border of the Zone; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1: THAT the area depicted and described in the attached "Exhibit A" is hereby designated as the Lubbock East Neighborhood Empowerment Zone as amended. SECTION 2: THAT the City Council finds that the amendment of the Lubbock East Neighborhood Empowerment Zone boundary will promote an increase in economic development in the zone; is for the public purpose of increasing the public health, safety, and welfare of the persons in the municipality; and, satisfies the requirements of Section 312.202, Tax Code.
