RESOLUTION DEDICATING LAND
FOR OUTDOOR PUBLIC RECREATION

WHEREAS, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has been authorized by
Senate Bill 165, 59th Texas Legislature, 1965 RS, to make grants to municipalities
and counties to assist them in carrying out programs of outdoor recreation to
Canyon Lake Project reserve an adequate amount of rapidly disappearing available land; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need exists for such a
rogram in the City of Lubbock and has made application for a grant under such
rogram; NOW THEREFORE
3E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock recognizes a need for additional
outdoor recreation facilities and hereby dedicates as an area for outdoor recreatic
acilities that land described in the grant application forwarded by the City of
