BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL C' THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the MAYOR of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Paving Release to
Various Owners, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the
Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a
part of this Resolution as if fully copied to rein in detail.

PAVING RELEASE
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I
WHEREAS, heretofore, on March 26, 1970, the City of Lubbock
passed a Resolution being recorded in Volume 509, Page 293 of the Deed
of Trust Records of Lubbock County, Texas, such Resolution containing
a Declaration by the City Council for the necessity of alley improvements
and apportionment of costs for such improvements, and in such Resolution
there was included paving improvements for certain hereinafter described
Paving Units, and,
WHEREAS, under such Paving Units, such improvements have
created no lien or liens against the property assessed pursuant to said
Paving Units, by reason of the fact that such paving improvements have
been deleted from the stated paving program, and there is no immediate
plan of making alley improvements upon the alleys under said Paving Units,
and it is expedient to remove the cloud and apparent lien placed upon the
title of property abutting the alleys as aforementioned, NOW THEREFORE:
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT the City of Lubbock, acting by and through its duly authorised
Mayor, in consideration of the premises, do hereby and by these presents,
RELEASE, RELINQUISH AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM to the owner or owners
of property affected by the paving assessment liens hereinabove mentioned,
their heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, all right, title and inter-
est the City of Lubbock may have in and to all these lots, tracts or parcels of
land being situated in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and being
further described as follows, to -wit:
Lots 6, 6, 7, 8 and 2 and a 16 foot wide tract of land lying be-
tween Lot 2 and Lot 8, all in Block 6, Roberts and McWhorter
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, the
North 402. 50 feet of the East 1/2 of Block 6, Roberts and Mc-
Whorter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
abutting the North -South alley between Sherman Avenue and Avenue
T from its intersection with a line 14 feet North of the South Prop-
erty Line of 3rd Street to its intersection with the North Property
Line of the alley South of 3rd Street known and designated as Sub -
Unit 2 of Unit A-400.
Lots 3, 4, 6, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, Igo
20, 21, 22, 23 and 24, Block 56, Overton Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, abutting the East-West alley
between Main Street and Broadway from its intersection with a
line 12 feet East of the West Property Line of Avenue U to its
intersection with a line 12 feet West of the East Property Line of
Avenue V, known and designated as Sub -Unit 8 of Unit A-400.
Lots 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22. 23, and 24, Gar-
land Subdivision of Block 2, Roberts McWhorter Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, abutting the North -
South and East-West alley between Paris Avenue and Avenue Q
from its intersection with the South Property Line of 3rd Street
South and East to its intersection with a line 12 feet East of the
West Property Line of Paris Avenue, known and designated as
Sub -Unit 4 of Unit A-400.
Late 1, 2 and the East 11.16 feet of Lot 3, Block 1, Southport
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, abut-
ting the East-West alley between 88th Street and 39th Street
from its intersection with a line 20 feet East of the West Prop-
erty Line of Avenue Q to its intersection with a line 145 feet
West of the West Property Line of Avenue Q, known and desig-
nated as Sub -Unit 8 of Unit A-400.
Lots 9, 10, 11 and the West 10 feet of Lot 12, Block 3, Sunny
Slope Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
abutting the East-West Wiley between 42nd Street and Ord Street
from its intersection with the East Property Line of Boston Avenue
to its intersection with a line 125 feet East of the East Property
Line of Boston Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit 10 of
Unit A-400.
Lots 324, 326, 326, 327, 328, 329, 330, $31, $32, 333, 334,
S36, 336, 337, 338, $39, 340, 341, 342. 343, 344, 345, 346,
347, 348, $49, $60, 351. 352, 363, 354 and 356, Leftwich -
Monterey Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, abutting the East-West alley between 69th
Street and 60th Street from its intersection with the West Prop-
erty Line of Elgin Avenue to its intersection with the East Prop-
erty Line of Clary Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit 11
of Unit A-400.
All of Block 12, Rushiand Park Addition to the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas and an un-subdivided tract of land lying
West of Lot 5, Block 12, Rushland Park Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and East of Utica Avenue,
abutting the East-West alley between 16th Street and 16th Street
from its intersection with the West Property Line of Toledo
Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Utica
Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit 16 of Unit A-400.
Lots 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. 12, 18, 14, 16, 16. 17 and 18,
Block 6, Massey Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lub-
bock County, Texas, part of Block 4, Copp Addition to the City
of Lubbock lying between Lot 18 Massey Heights Addition to the
City of Lubbock and Lot 3, Scharnberg Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lots 1 and 3, Scharnberg Addition to the City of Lub-
bock and part of Block 4 Copp Addition to the City of Lubbock
lying between Lots 1 and 3, Scharnberg Addition to the City of
Lubbock abutting the East-West alley between 33rd Street and
34th Street from its intersection with a line 12 feet East of the
West Property Line of Avenue X to its intersection with the East
Property Line of University Avenue, known and designated as
Sub -Unit 16 of Unit A-400.
Block 9, Simmons Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, and Block 2, Del Mar annex an Addition to
the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, abutting the
East-West alley between 26th Street and 27th Street from its
intersection with a line 12 feet East of the West Property Line
of Akron Avenue to its intersection with a line 14 feet West of
the East Property Line of Boston Avenue, known and designated
as Sub -Unit 19 of Unit A-400.
Lots 106, 107, 108, 109. 110, 111 and 112, Gordon Heights
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and
an un-subdivided tract lying West of Lot 112, Gordon Heights
and East of Salem Avenue, abutting the East-West alley between
49th Street and 50th Street from its intersection with the West
Property Line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with the
East Property Line of Salem Avenue, known and designated as
Sub -Unit 20 of Unit A-400.
This release effects only the property hereinabove described and in no
way affects any property or liens not specifically described he rein, and all
liens and apparent liens against property owners not otherwise released are
hereby expressly retained.
