HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 072370E - Street Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - GWO Multiple Locations - 07_23_1970RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr Construction Company (G.W.O. 10,704 for the making and construction of street and alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys, streets and avenues in said City including among others the following: Richmond Avenue from its intersection with a line 9.00 feet North of the South property line of 55th Street (East Leg), to its intersection with a line 11.00 feet South of the North property line of 58th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2214. 55th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West property line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with a line 48.00 feet West of the East property line of Salem Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2214. 56th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West property line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with a line 11.00 feet West of the East property line of Richmond Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 3 of Unit Number 2214. 57th Street from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet West of the West property line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with a line 11.00 feet West of the East property line of Richmond Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 4 of Unit Number 2214. Raleigh Avenue from its intersection with a line 18.00 feet South of the South property line of 54th Street to its intersection with a line 9.00 feet South of the North Property line of 55th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 5 of Unit Number 2214. North -South alleys East of Richmond Avenue between 55th Street and 58th Street (curb and gutter only) known and designated as Eub«Unit Number 6 of Unit Number 22 AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione alleys, streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 109704). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys, streets, and avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost.
