HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 072370C - Pavement Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - Fraternity Addition - 07_23_1970_.a RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Fraternity Addition, made arrangements with Kerr Construction Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Fraternity Addition including the following streets: Greek Circle "A" from its intersection with a line 28.00 feet West of the East Property Line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with a line 618.10 feet East of the East Property Line of Quaker Avenue known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1775. Greek Circle "E" from its intersection with a line 618.10 feet East of the East Property Line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with a line 15.00 feet East of the East Property Line of Greek Circle "F" known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1776. Greek Circle "D" from its intersection with a line 15.00 feet East of the East Property Line of Greek Circle "F" to its intersection with a line 351.86 feet West of the East Property Line of Greek Circle "F" known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1777. Greek Circle "C" from its intersection with the North Lip Line of Greek Circle "B" to its intersection with a line 399.541 North of the North Lip Line of Greek Circle "B" known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1778. Greek Circle "B" from its intersection with a line 28.00 feet West of the East Property Line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with the West Lip Line of Greek Circle "E" known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1779. Greek Circle "F" from its intersection with the North Lip Line of Greek Circle "D" to its intersection with the North Property Line of Lots 6 and 7, Fraternity Addition known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1780. Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Lip Line of Greek Circle "A" to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of Lot 2, Fraternity Addition, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1781. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above - mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and; said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. passage. TEXAS 7 9 4 0 8 July 23, 1970 Honorable Mayor and City Council Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Fraternity Addition and find the improvements on Greek Circle and Peoria Avenue, (NS-1775 thru NS»1781) as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans.and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
