HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 051570B - Citizens Advisory Commission Established For Long Range Rehabilitation - 05_15_1970RESOLUTION 0 A WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that every effort should be made to assist in rehabilitation of storm ravaged areas within the City of Lubbock as promptly and in as orderly and useful a manner as possible, and, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the assistance of a group of citizens of the City of Lubbock would assist in the carrying out of this progran by contact with all of the concerned citizens of the City and the preparation of reports which will assist the City Council in future actions; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council hereby establishes a Commission to assist in the rebuilding and rehabilitating of the storm damaged areas within the City with such commission to be known as the Citizens Advisory Commission, for Long Range Rehabilitation. SECTION 2. This Commission shall be composed of a membership which shall be appointed by the City Council and the composition of such Commission shall be made up of representatives from all effected sections of the City, as well as other sections of the City, and the primary duty of this Commission shall be to study the existing sibaation, formulate solutions to the problems that now exist, offer suggestions as to future planning and report such findings to the City Council The area of study within which this Commission shall render its assistance shall "~ include, but not be limited to, the rehabilitation of the entire City of Lubbock. SECTION 3. In addition to the members appointed by the City Council, t City Manager or his representative, the City Attorney or his representative and the Director of Planning orhis representative shall be ex-officio members of this Commission.
