HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 092165A - Pavement Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - Alexander Land Addition - 09_21_1965 a' RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Alexander Land Addition, Lots 5-34, made arrangements with Kerr Construction Company for the construction of paving improve- ments on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Alexander Land Addition including the following streets: 20th Street from its intersection with a line 13 feet East of the East Property Line of Raleigh Avenue to its intersection with a line 20 feet East of the Easement East of Cut-de-sac at East End of 20th Street, known and designated as New Subdi- vision Unit Number,1525. 21st Street from its intersection with the East Lip Line of Raleigh Avenue to its intersection with a line 20 feet East of the Easement East of Cul-de-sac at East End of 21st Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1526. 22nd Street and Cut-de-sac on 22nd Place from its intersection with a line 2 feet North of the North End of Radius on Raleigh Avenue to its intersection with a line 20 feet East of the Easement East of the Cul-de-sac, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1527.. The East 1/2 of Raleigh Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 21st Street to its intersection with a line 2 feet North of the North End of the Radius at 22nd Street (East Side) , known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1528. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE$ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City`s portion of the cost and to release escrow money. II. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. T^ PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 21ST DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1965. RE J;M` 14 P O R T E R 3 3 4 91 r 0 B o X 2 0 0 O .LUBBOCK , TEXAS 79406 September 21, 1965 Honorable Mayor and City Council Lubbock, Texas , Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Alexander Land Addition and find the improvements on 20th Street, 21st Street, 22nd Street, 22nd Place and Raleigh Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock.
