HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 062761A - Sale Of Land- Lynnmark Investment Co Exercising Purchase Option- Sec 17 Blk D5 - 06_27_1961 -' fos wg RESOLUTION WHEREAS, heretofore on the 6th day of December, 1960, the City of Lub- ` bock entered into a Lease Option Purchase Contract with Lynnmark Investment Company, a'Corporation; and, WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has received notice from Lynnmark Invest- ment Company of intention to exercise its option according to the terms of said Contract; and, E f WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock finds that said lands were originally purchased for thepurpose of acquiring the water rights thereunder and that it will be to the best interest of the public to sell all of said lands except the water rights; and, a WHEREAS, the City Commission further finds that the Lynnmark Investment Company has fully complied with the terms of said Agreement, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the sale by the City of Lubbock of all that certain parcels and tracts of land situated in Lubbock County, Texas, more particularly described as follows to-wit: All that part of Survey No. Seventeen (17) in Block D-5, E.L. & R.R.R.R. Hughes Land Company, Incorporated and the Willowjack Corporation. This contract of sale was prepared by yourself and Bill Evans. Among other things the contract provides for release of properties based upon $110.00 per acre plus interest thereon The payment they have just made in the amount of $11,191.51 permits the release of 156.28 acres. This payment was made June 11, 1963, together with $3,945.30 interest. Please prepare �elease or this quantity of land and if it is necessary that we have a resolution passed in order to have the mayor sign the release, we would like to have this so that it could be placed on the Commission Agenda of June 27, 1963. If it is not necessary for this, I would like to have the release as soon as possible. The release should go to the three purchasers as named above.
