RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Commission has found that a portion of Avenue "'U'' De- �"` tween 38th and �7th Streets is no longer needed for street purposes; and,' WHEREAS, John A. Wheeler, Jr. originally dedicated to the City of.Lubbock that part of the street hereinafter described to the City of Lubbock and has requested the City of Lubbock to quit claim to him that portion of Avenue "'U" no longer needed for street purposes; and, WHEREAS„ the City Commission finds that it would be expedient and ,in the public interest to quit claim unto the said John A. Wheeler, Jr.,, that portion of Avenue ''lull heretofore vacated,,. closed and abandoned by the City of Lubb?ck as particularly described hereafter in the body of this resolution; NOWlTHEkEFORt: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor BE and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock as.Grantor a quit claimdeed to John A. Wheeler, Jr.o the following described tract of land located in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, more particularly described by metelo and bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point in the north line of Lot 7,, Block 4, Palace Heights Additionv said point being 50 feet west of the N.E. corner of said Lot 7.
