WHEREAS, the Commission has heretofore employed the services of
the Public Administration Service of Chicago, 1313 East 60th Street, Chicago,
Illinois, to ;develop a personnel classification plan. and accompanying pay
yr schedule, and such plan has been developed and submitted inspected and sub-
Oly stantially approved by the Commission; T H E R E F O R E,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK-
SECTION 1. That the Classification Plan as submitted by the Public
Administration Service, including class titles, specifications, allocations of
existing positions of the City government to the classes proposed, and the
rules and regulations covering the administration of said Classification Plan,
is hereby approved and adopted, subject to minor provisions and amendments
as may be found necessary prior to October 1, 1953 or the date said plan is
put into effect.
SECTION 2. The Salary Plan.recommended by the Public Administration
Service, including the schedule of ranges assigned to all proposed classes, and
the rules and regulations covering the administration of said Salary :Plan, are
hereby approved and adopted, subject to minor revisions and admendments
found to be necessary prior to-October 1, 1953 or the date of putting said plan
into effect.
• SECTION 3. The plans mentioned in Sections 1 (One) and Z-(Tv�o) of this
Resolution are hereby adopted effective October 1, 1953 unless such effective
date is changed by resolution of the Commission, and it is the intention that
said plans be made effective concurrent with and applicable to the 1953-54
Fiscal Budget.
SECTION 4. It is further provided that no changes be made in the express
terms of either plan unless authorized by resolution of the Commission.
SECTION 5. Attached to this Resolution is an original copy of the "Posi-
tion Classification Plan of the City of Lubbock, " marked "Exhibit A, s' and an
original copy of the "Salary Plan, " marked "Exhibit .B, " referred to as being
adopted in this..Resolution, and these volumes shall be kept by the City Secretary
for permanent reference.
On motion of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Davis,
the foregoing Resolution was passed on this 15th. day of June, 1953 by the
following vote:
