VMEREP.S, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions, and entered into contract with Warren and Purtell,Inc (GWO 579) for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and avenues in said City including among others the following: Baylor Avenue from its intersection with the West Property Line of North Avenue trpn to its intersection with the East Property Line of Sherman Avenue (South) knoi,m and designated as part of Unit Number 1127. Baylor Avenue from its intersection with the West Line of Block 68 of Roberts and McWhorter Addition to its intersection with the East Property Line of North Avenue U, known and designated as part of Unit Number 1127. lst Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Gary Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue, h own and designated as Unit Number 1131. 37th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Canton Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Elgin Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1132. Detroit Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of lst Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of Auburn Street (West), known and designated as Unit Number 1135. Grinnell Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Flint Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Gary Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1136. lst Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Canton Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Detroit ]venue, known and designated as Unit Number 1137. Gary Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 30th Street (West) to its intersection with the North Property Line of 31st Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1140. Gary Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 31st Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 32nd Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1141. Erskine Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Gary Avenue (South) to its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue(North) , known and designated as Unit Number 1175. At;D WHEREAS., the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione streets and avenues, have been complet0d and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract. (GIJO 579) THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY 05 LUBBOCK, TE_:AS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and avenues be and the same are hereby accepted. r e _ 4 0712S 1 A' II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of the streets and avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to write a letter releasin7 money held in escrow for improvements where the abutting property was not assessed. III. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS _U DAY OF July , 1951.
