Vector Control Service Agreement
STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
This Interlocal Agreement entered into between Lubbock County, acting by and
through its duly authorized County Commissioners Court, hereinafter called"County",
and the City of Lubbock, acting by and through its duly authorized Mayor, hereinafter
called, "City".
WHEREAS,the Lubbock County Commissioners County, Lubbock County,
Texas,has determined that a need exists for vector control services in Lubbock County
outside the city limits of the City of Lubbock; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock agrees to furnish such services; and
NOW THEREFORE,the parties mutually agree as follows:
1. The City agrees to provide vector control services for the entire area of
Lubbock County lying outside the city limits of the City of Lubbock,
including incorporated areas within the county. The City will provide
weekly reports to the County to inform of sprayed locations.
2. The City in providing this service shall pay all necessary expenses of the
personnel involved in this service, including salaries,administration
expense, fringe benefits,transportation vehicles, supplies,and
maintenance and operation of transportation vehicles.
3. The tern of this Agreement shall be from October 1, 2011, (the Effective
Date);through September 30, 2012.
4. The County hereby agrees and obligates itself to pay to the City for this
service in monthly installments of twelve thousand seventy-one and
19/100 dollars($12,071.19). This monthly fee shall be paid by the County
to the City on the 15`h day of each month. It is further understood and
agreed that in the event additional mosquito applications are necessary,
due to heavier than normal rain or a mosquito borne disease outbreak, the
County shall pay the direct cost for such additional applications beyond
six per year. Detailed costs of this program are shown in the estimated
cost exhibit attached hereto as Exhibit A, which exhibit is incorporated
herein by reference.
5. The City Or tile COLIM)l may' amend this Agreement at an), time,provided
that such aniendments mak e specific reference to this Agreement, and care
eXeCLIled in 'writing, signed by all authorized representative ofbculh
organiz.,itions and approved by both governing bodies.
6� The County agrees that all payments to tills Agreement must be made

7. The Agreement rilay be terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days
written notice to Ille other party.

VECTOR CONTROL SERVICE AGREEMENT
I. Mosquito Control
A. Personnel Services—40%of$211,873.70
(salary and benefits for five vector control workers)
35 weeks x 4 hours x 5 days x 5 employees=3,500 hours $84,749.48
(a) Supervisory Staff- 15%of$54,103.87
(salary and benefits for one supervisor)
35 weeks x 9 hours/week=315 hours $8,115.58
B. Supplies
(b) Eighty gallons of insecticide per spraying at
$35/gallon x 6 applications per year $16,800.00
(c) Sixty gallons of Bacillus Thuringiensis(BT)
to larvicide 350 lakes at$35/gallon x 6 applications
per year=$12,600.00 $12,600.00
C. Maintenance and Fuel
Maintenance and Fuel budgets at$26,607 x 60%
5 ULV sprayers and 5 turbine sprayers used for program $15,964.20
