RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, SH Lubbock 1 oth, L.P. has proposed a development for affordable rental housing
to be named the Providence Downtown to be located on the 1400 Block of loth Street,
Lubbock, Texas; and
WHEREAS, SH Lubbock 1 Oth, L.P. intends to submit an application to the Texas Department
of Housing and Community Affairs for 2018 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for the
Providence Downtown; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby finds that the proposed
development of the Providence Downtown on the 1400 Block of IOth Street, Lubbock, Texas
by SH Lubbock loth, L.P. would be a public benefit to the City of Lubbock; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby confirms and supports the application
for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs 2018 Competitive 9% Housing
Tax Credits for the proposed development of the Providence Downtown on the 1400 Block of
1 Oth Street, Lubbock, Texas by SH Lubbock loth, L.P.; and
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby directs City staff to provide a one-time
permit fee waiver not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) to be applied to an application for a
permit by SH Lubbock 1 oth, L.P. if it is awarded the Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs 2018 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for the proposed development
of the Providence Downtown; and
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to certify for and on
behalf of the City of Lubbock, this resolution to the Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs.
