RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR Ie` AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSU&NCE OF CERTIFIC&TES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with L. A. Purtell, G.W.O. 2450, for the making and construction of street improvements'on portions of numerous streets and avenues in said City including among others the following: Ithica Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 22nd Place to its intersection with the North Property Line of 23rd Street (West Leg), known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 1985. 3rd Street from its intersection with a line 12.5 feet West of the West Proper- ty Line of Texas Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue K, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 11 of Unit Number 1985. 3rd Street from its intersection with a line 12.5 feet West of the West Proper- ty Line of Texas Avenue to its intersection with a line 5 feet East of the West Property Line of Avenue H, known.and designated as Sub-Unit Number 12 of Unit Number 1985. 2nd Place from its intersection with a line 2.5 feet East of the East Property Line of Avenue J (South Leg) to its intersection with the East Property Line of �— Avenue K, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 13 of Unit Number 1985. 42nd Street from its intersection with a line 8 feet East of the East Property Line of Avenue P to its intersection with aline 262.55 feet East of the East Property Line of Avenue N (North Leg), known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 3 of Unit Number 1986, North Avenue L from its intersection with the North Property Line of Lot 3, lBlock 2, Wayside Addition to its intersection with a line 13 feet North of the North Property Line of 1st Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 45 of Unit Number 1986. North Avenue K from its intersection with a line 13 feet South of the South Property Line of 1st Street to its intersection with a line 18 feet North of the North Property Line of 2nd Street (East Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 47 of Unit Number 1986. orth Avenue K from its intersection with a line 13 feet South of the South roperty Line of 2nd Street to its intersection with a line 7 feet South of the oath Property Line of 2nd Place (East Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit umber 48 of Unit Number 1986. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- ioned streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been tructed in accordance with terms of said contract G.W.O. 2450. THEREFORE, BE Tr RESOLVED.BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. III. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. A. Purtell, paving contractor, under his contract dated December 1,.195.9, designated as G.W.O. 2450 and find the improvements on Ithica&ve., 3rd Street, 2nd Place, 42nd Street, N. Ave. L and N. Ave. X as listed on the final estimate and assessment sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock and issue assignable certificates against property owners..for..the respective amounts shown on the attached final assessment sheets as being due against them and their respective properties.
