HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 072761J - Street Improvements - Pioneer Pavers Inc - GWO 10199 Multiple Locations - 07/27/1961RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Pioneer Pavers, Inc. G.W.O. 10,199 for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among others the following: 34th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue H to its intersection with the East Property Line of Lot 22, Industrial Park Addition, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 1993. 34th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Lot 22, Industrial Park Addition to its intersection with a line 15.5 feet West of the West Property Line of Avenue B (North Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 1993. 34th Street from its intersection with a line 15.5 feet West of the West Property Line of Avenue B (North Leg) to its intersection with a line 39 feet East of the West Property bine of.P.►venue A (South Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 3 of Unit dumber 1993. Avenue H from its intersection with a line 15 feet North of the South Property Line of 34th Street (West Leg) to its intersection with a line 11 feet North of the South Property Line of.38th Street, known axid designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 1996. Avenue H from its intersection with a line 11 feet North of the South Property Line of 38th Street to its intersection with a line 7 feet North of the South Property Line of 40th Street (East Leg), known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 1996. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovemen- tioned streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been con- structed in accordance with terms of said contract G.W.O. 10,199. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed t execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance wit law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with ref- erence to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
