SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas met in special session on the 17th
day of June, 2005, in the City Council Chambers, first floor, City Hall, 1625 13th
Street, Lubbock, Texas at 10:00 A. M.
10:10 A. M. CITY COUNCIL CONVENED
City Council Chambers, 1625 13th Street, Lubbock, Texas
Present: Mayor Marc McDougal; Mayor Pro Tem Tom Martin; Council
Member Gary O. Boren; Council Member Jim Gilbreath; Council
Member Phyllis Jones; Council Member Floyd Price; Lou Fox, City
Manager; Anita Burgess, City Attorney; Rebecca Garza, City
Secretary
Absent: Council Member Linda DeLeon
Mayor McDougal called the meeting to order at 10:10 A. M.
Invocation was given by Council Member Price.
Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison by those in the City Council
Chambers to both the United States flag and the Texas flag.
Council Member Boren and State Senator Robert Duncan assisted Mayor
McDougal as he presented special recognitions to Texas Supreme Court
Justice Phil Johnson, Texas 7th Court of Appeals Chief Justice Brian
Quinn, and Texas 7th Court of Appeals Justice Mackey Hancock.
Johnson, Quinn, and Hancock all gave comments.
10:23 A. M. COUNCIL RECESSED TO RECEPTION

11: 13 A. TNl. COUNCIL ADJOURNED
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Pro Tem
Martin adjourned the meeting immediately after the Reception.
