REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas met in special session on the 18th
day of May, 2004, in the City Council Chambers, first floor, City Hall, 1625 13th
Street, Lubbock, Texas at 12:00 P. M.
12:05 P. M. CITY COUNCIL CONVENED
City Council Chambers,1625 13th Street, Lubbock, Texas
Present: Mayor Marc McDougal, Mayor Pro Tern T. J. Patterson, Council
Member Gary O. Boren, Council Member Jim Gilbreath
Absent: Council Members Victor Hernandez, Tom Martin and Frank W.
Morrison.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor McDougal stated: "The City Council will hold an executive session
today for the purpose of consulting with the City Staff to deliberate, vote
and take final action on a competitive matter regarding wholesale firm
energy agreements, natural gas supply agreements and generation
dispatching agreements by Lubbock Power and Light and discuss pending
or contemplated litigation as provided by Subchapter D of Chapter 551 of
the Government Code, the Open Meeting Law."
7:06 P. M. CITY COUNCIL RECESSED TO EXECUTIVE SESSION
City Council/City Manager's Conference Room
All council members were present.
( 1.) Hold an executive session in accordance with V.T.C.A. Government
Code, Section 551.086, to deliberate, vote and take final action on a
competitive matter regarding wholesale firm energy agreements,
natural gas supply agreements and generation dispatching
agreements by Lubbock Power and Light.
(2.) Hold an executive session in accordance with V.T.C.A. Government
Code, Section 551.071 (1)(A), to discuss pending or contemplated
litigation (Electric Utilities; Right -of -Way; N.T.S.).
2:00 P. M. CITY COUNCIL RECONVENED
City Council Chambers
2:00 P. M. COUNCIL ADJOURNED
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Pro Tem
Patterson adjourned the meeting.
