BACKGROUND: A group of Lubbock citizens has banded together to raise funds to build and
furnish the new Animal Rescue Kennels (ARK) that will be donated to the City. We want to build
this facility to service the citizens of Lubbock without using any taxpayer monies.
STRATEGY: We will be kicking off a 3-year fund raising campaign on October 4, 1997 at the
South Plains Mall. Our current goal is $2.5 million but our building plans would allow the facility
to be put up in modules. This way, construction could begin even before the final goal is met.
SUPPORTERS: We would like to invite you to join us in this effort. Supporters already include
LISD teachers and students, merchants, property owners, business and professional people and
others who have been active in community fundraising. Our first donation of $100,000 is
anticipated by September 1997.
THE ARK WILL INCLUDE THESE SERVICE CENTERS:
• Pet Connections
• Hair By Fido
• Pet Express Care
Animagine Gift Shop
• Pet Oasis
a Pets ABC Learning Center
• Hug A Pet

Clinic
