SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
July 22, 2002
7:30 A. M.
The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas met in regular session on the 22nd
day of July, 2002, in the City Council Chambers, first floor, City Hall, 1625 13th
Street, Lubbock, Texas at 7:30 A. M.
7:35 A. M. CITY COUNCIL CONVENED
City Council Chambers, 1625 13th Street, Lubbock, Texas
Present: Mayor Marc McDougal, Councilmember Alex "Ty" Cooke,
Councilmember Tom Martin, Councilmember Frank W. Morrison,
Absent: Councilmembers Gary Boren, Victor Hernandez and T. J. Patterson.
CITIZEN COMMENTS
No one appeared to express comments to the Council.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor McDougal stated the Council would hold an executive session in
accordance with the V.T.C.A. Government Code, Section 551 to discuss
personnel matters (Police Chief).
7:37 A. M. CITY COUNCIL RECESSED TO EXECUTIVE SESSION
City Council/City Manager's Conference Room
All councilmembers were present except Councilmember Hernandez.
( 1.) Hold an executive session in accordance with V.T.C.A. Government
Code, Section 551.074(a)(1) to discuss personnel matters (Police
Chief).
12:20 P. M. COUNCIL ADJOURNED
There being no further business to come before Council, Senior
Councilmember Patterson called for a motion to adjourn. Motion was
made by Councilmember Martin, seconded by Councilmember Cooke.
Motion carried: 4 Yeas, 0 Nays. Motion carried with the majority of
remaining Council present at adjournment: Councilmember Boren.
