SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 17, 1989
10:00 A.M.
The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas met in a special -
called City Council meeting on Tuesday, the 17th day of October, 1989
in the City Council Chambers, first floor, City Hall, 1625 13th
Street, Lubbock, Texas at 10:00 A.M.
Present: Mayor B. C. McMinn, Mayor Pro Tem Joan Baker, Councilman T.
J_ Patterson, Councilman Gary Phillips, Councilman Bill Maloy,
Councilman George Carpenter, Councilwoman Maggie Trejo, City Manager
Larry J. Cunningham, City Attorney John C. Ross, Jr., and City
Secretary Ranette Boyd.
Mayor McMinn called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.
t 1.) The Invocation was given by Assistant City
Manager Jim Bertram.
t 2.) The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison by
those in the Council Chambers.
( 3.) Hold an Executive Session to consider the
appointment and duties of eight 8 members of
the Board of City Development.
( 4.) Consider eight (8) appointments to the Board of
City Development.
No action was taken on this item.
Motion was made by Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Maloy
to adjourn the meeting at 11:36 p.m. as recommended by Staff. Motion
carried: 7 Yeas; 0 Nays.
