SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
June 7, 2016
5:30 P. M.
The City Council of the City of Lubbock,Texas met in special session on the 7th of Jude, 2016,
at the Reagor Dykes Autogroup Headquarters, 1215 Avenue J, Lubbock, Texas at 5:30 p.m.
6:00 P.M. CITY COUNCIL CONVENED

Present: Mayor Dan Pope; Council Member Jeff Griffith; Council Member Latrelle Joy;
Council Member Steve Massengale; City Secretary Rebecca Garza; City Attorney
Chad Weaver; Assistant City Manager Scott Snider
Absent: Council Member Karen Gibson; Council Member Victor Hernandez; Council
Member Floyd Price

1. 1. Remarks by City Council members concerning the operations, programs, budget, revenues,
facilities, and priorities of the City of Lubbock including, but not limited to, any plans, proposals, or
amendments to the operations, programs, budget, revenues, facilities, and priorities of the City of
Lubbock. As this reception is hosted by a third party, the City of Lubbock does not control the
topics that may be discussed, therefore, any discussion may be on a broad range of topics involving
the City of Lubbock. No action or vote will be taken by the Lubbock City Council,
Beth Bridges, Chairwoman of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, gave
welcome rernarks and thanked the sponsors.
The outgoing City Council members were recognized and thanked for their service to the City of
Lubbock.
The incoming City Council members were recognized:
Latrelle Joy, City Council District 6; Steve Massengale, City Council District 4; and Dan
Pope,Mayor, and all gave remarks.
Beth Bridges gave closing remarks and thanked those in attendance.

There being no further business to come before COUncil, Mayor Pope adjourned the meeting.
The June 7, 2016 Special City Council Meeting minutes were approved by the City Council on
the 14th day of July, 2016.
